World AIDS Day
HIV / AIDS for the past two decades have been reigning as the biggest challenge faced by mankind. The world is a lot different today. Our globe has shrunk into a small village. Today, you can have breakfast in London, lunch in Delhi and dinner in Tokyo on the same day. Our markets are emerging. Our cultures are in the crucible. No wonder that within the short span of a decade, AIDS epidemic has become pandemic. It is here to stay.
With this in mind Global Kerala Initiative-Keraleeyam is observing World AIDS day with various programmes on 1st December, 2007 so as to get maximum reach of the message across among various sections of the society.
One of the programmes is a rally of school children and teachers, which will be organized at Central Stadium, Trivandrum at 10 am. Apart from the children it will be attended by Ministers, Film personalities, members of the armed forces etc.
World AIDS Day is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
