As you know, November 1st, is the anniversary of the sad demise of the remarkable journalist, writer and social activist Shri V. K Madhavankutty. Our Society and the world of journalism and visual media cannot afford to leave Mr. Madhavan Kutty in oblivion.
Keraleeyam has instituted two awards each in the print and visual media to commemorate him and it will be given away on November 1st, in a public function. The award is in recognition of excellence in reporting on social commitment published in the print media and the visual media from September 1, 2011 to August 31st, 2012.
I request you to kindly inform journalists in your esteemed organization to send entries for the Award. Please note that the entry should contain the report in original, and its five copies along with a certificate from the editor. For the visual media award the D V Copy, certified by the editor is required. The entries may kindly be sent to the Secretary General, Keraleeyam, T.C. 9/2112 (7), Kilichettan

The award, I am sure will, recognize, cherish and nourish excellence in the media and is proposed to be an annual event.
